Designed the Bike Bump, a simplified bicycle display solution created to replace a family of wood bike stands used in brand-agnostic retail remodels for Dorel bike brands.
The goal was to create a more efficient, cost-effective, and logistics-friendly system without compromising retail presentation. I focused on reducing overall part cost, display weight, and component complexity while creating a durable solution that could support multiple brand environments.
The final design reduced average cost by 82%, decreased weight by 75%, and simplified the system from nine parts to two. Manufactured from 100% recycled polyethylene plastic, Bike Bump also introduced a more sustainable material solution compared with the previous wood stand system.
The result was a lighter, lower-cost, easier-to-deploy retail display platform that improved operational efficiency while maintaining a clean, adaptable presentation for Dorel’s bicycle brands.
