Led experiential design for Best Buy’s first UK store, located in West Thurrock just outside London. As the brand’s initial entry into the UK market, the location required a retail experience that translated Best Buy’s core strengths while introducing value proposition elements tailored specifically to the UK consumer.
My team was responsible for the store design, environmental design, value proposition experience design, fixtures, electronic infrastructure, and visual merchandising. Together, these components shaped a highly immersive destination that showcased emerging technology, premium services, and category-specific experiences within a cohesive retail environment.
The store featured a series of differentiated experience zones, including electric vehicles, high-end home theater, multi-screen television displays, Geek Squad Genius Bar and service counters, and a dedicated DJ area. Each element was designed to create customer engagement, support product education, and bring the brand’s service-driven retail model to life in a new international market.
The result was a market-specific flagship environment that combined large-format retail strategy, experiential merchandising, and operational execution to support Best Buy’s UK launch.
