Izmir Turkey Best Buy

The first flagship location in the country in Balcova region of Izmir. The large 45,000 sq.ft / 4,200 M2 rectangle shaped store was the anchor to a new mall on the ground floor. The store featured traditional Best Buy merchandise as well as testing new value propositions for the Turkish consumer. Features included Lifestyle vignettes, On the go, Geek Squad genius bar, Gaming, Musical Instruments and an expanded small appliance department. Similar to stores in the UK, we used fin structures in the ceiling to accentuate the main consumer pathways. This store was also the first Best Buy store to feature a tile floor which is typical for the country. Upon entry the consumer was greeted by an open layout featuring 5 lifestyle vignettes, 4 of which were backed by curved glass walls that featured lifestyle story digital projections. The store received an ARE (Association of Retail Environments) award for fixtures - Full store.
